The St. Paul Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Adams Central on the road by a decisive 55-38 margin. St. Paul has not had much luck with Adams Central recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracie Kelley, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Kelley is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Gracie Mudloff was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Adams Central, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul will challenge Arcadia/Loup City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Arcadia/Loup City is ranked 227th, while St. Paul is ranked 228th). As for Adams Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Fillmore Central on Friday. The timing isn't great for Fillmore Central: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Adams Central has snatched up 13 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
