The Colonial Grenadiers had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.6 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Wednesday. They really took it to Apopka for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-19 victory at home. Colonial's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Colonial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Destinie Gordon out in front who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gordon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jasmynne Gibson, who scored 16 points.
Colonial's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.46 points. As for Apopka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Colonial will stay at home for another game and welcome Ocoee at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Ocoee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Apopka, they will head out on the road to challenge West Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Orange presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Apopka in Florida (West Orange is ranked 102nd, while Apopka is ranked 259th).
