Division III recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Division III this week, Mt. Pleasant beat Narragansett 18-13. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Moses Brown took down Burrillville 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Eric Cosmopulos threw for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns during the win.
He went 14-19 with 1 interception.
Timothy Shea was the best wideout in the league this week as Classical beat Lincoln. Shea tallied 6 receptions for 125 yards. Allen Tat helped Classical's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 59 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Shea. The Classical star has 36 catches for 592 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Middletown and Mt. Pleasant. The Islanders enters the contest ranked 18th in the state, while Paul Rao's team ranks fifth.
Thomas Vadis of the the Purples is just 34 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Vadis has rushed for 966 yards on 148 carries so far this year.
The Kilties and Narragansett played the closest game in Division III this week, with the Kilties eventually emerging with a 18-13 victory.
