Calais is on a two-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Narraguagus a two-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Calais Blue Devils will take on the Narraguagus Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Calais had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Mattanawcook on the road and fell 57-19.
Brenna Critchley put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored six points.
Meanwhile, Narraguagus made easy work of Jonesport-Beals on Monday and carried off a 62-37 victory.
Calais' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Narraguagus, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Calais strolled past Narraguagus in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 58-42. Will Calais repeat their success, or does Narraguagus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
