West Bladen is 9-1 against the Raiders since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Bladen Knights will be playing at home against the Midway Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Bladen has 15 straight wins, the Raiders have three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
West Bladen can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 69-31 win over Clinton. Given West Bladen's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Dark Horses are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Bladen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Pait out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hezekiah Adams, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Midway took a serious blow against the Golden Tornadoes on Friday, falling 67-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Midway has scored all season.
West Bladen's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Midway, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
Everything went West Bladen's way against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January as the Knights made off with a 56-31 win. Does West Bladen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
