The Ridge Community Bolts suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Davenport by a score of 60-58. Ridge Community has not had much luck with Davenport recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Ridge Community had strong showings from Tarique Kennedy, who scored 20 points, and Eddy Hyppolite jr., who scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kennedy has scored all season. Siled Morris was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ridge Community's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Davenport, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge Community the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome McKeel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in McKeel Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Davenport, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sebring at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
