Corsicana hasn't had much luck against Midlothian Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Midlothian Heritage will be up against a hot Corsicana team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers strolled past Kaufman with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 35-17.

Mark Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 220 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Those 220 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was CJ Curry, who rushed for 73 yards and one score on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Corsicana was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 329 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage won against Crandall last Friday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Jaguars claimed a resounding 52-20 victory over Poteet. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won three matchups by 32 points or more so far this season.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Dax Montelongo and Isaiah Hall. Montelongo had a great game and rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Meanwhile, Hall was balling out in the loss, throwing for 135 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 58 yards.
Midlothian Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aaron Cowans and Zachery Hagerty. Midlothian Heritage got some further help from Jonathan Anderson Ii: he picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles (2.5 for loss).
Corsicana's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Midlothian Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Corsicana has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 162.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Midlothian Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 225 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Corsicana was taken down by Midlothian Heritage 51-7 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Jaguars' Za'Ko Davis, who rushed for 210 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
