The Silver Stage Nighthawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They suffered a tough 46-24 loss at the hands of Sierra Lutheran. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Silver Stage in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Friend, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Samantha Steyn was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine assists.
Silver Stage dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Sierra Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Coincidentally, Silver Stage and the Falcons will both be playing the Wolverines the next time they take the court. Sierra Lutheran will host West Wendover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Silver Stage will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
