In what's become a running theme this season, Millbrook gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Heritage with a sharp 84-59 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-23.
Colt Langdon was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Millbrook's points. Jacob Lawton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Wakefield didn't have too much trouble with the Rams on the road on Friday as they won 57-42. Given Wakefield's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Rams are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Millbrook is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Wakefield, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.
