The Master's Academy Lions were the 63-44 winner over the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Master's Academy received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 66-50 to Pinnacle Classical Academy. The Master's Academy found out winning isn't easy when you make five fewer threes than your opponent.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Holiday, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Holiday's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ben Davis, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Leading Pinnacle Classical Academy to victory were Connor Susigan and Braylon Gentry. Susigan scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds, while Gentry dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Gentry's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Bridges, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
The Master's Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Master's Academy will take on Community Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Community Christian Academy is ranked 425th, while The Master's Academy is ranked 405th). As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Christian Family Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Christian Family Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
