The Christian Academy Warriors suffered their biggest defeat since November 16, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Springs Valley on the road and fell 66-30. Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Leah Stevens and Brooklyn Shields. Stevens scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Shields scored eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Springs Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Jeffersontown is ranked 254th in Kentucky, while Christian Academy is ranked 271st in Indiana). As for Springs Valley, they will be playing at home against Tell City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
