Gulliver Prep strolled past Calvary Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given Gulliver Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 415th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Mikayla Brown, who scored 24 points along with six assists and six rebounds. She also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Caitlen Dauphin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Taryn Wakefield, who scored 13 points, and Halle Jordan who scored 13 points.
Gulliver Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
