The Bridges Prep Buccaneers are taking a road trip to take on the Hilton Head Island Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hilton Head Island took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bridges Prep, who comes in off a win.
Bridges Prep will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Lowcountry Leadership, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Buccaneers came out on top against the NaviGators by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday.
James Williams made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Dawson Cook looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Denver Jones, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Bridges Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hilton Head Island suffered their biggest loss since March 7th on Monday. They lost 9-1 to North Augusta. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bridges Prep is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hilton Head Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
