Anderson is 2-8 against Pendleton Heights since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Indians will face off against the Arabians at 7:30 p.m. The last five games Anderson has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Anderson's win against Indianapolis Arsenal Technical wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Titans 2-1 on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

KeAvon Burt and Cole Roberts did most of the damage at the plate: Burt went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run, while Roberts went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Roberts has become a key player for Anderson: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 10-13 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Pendleton Heights waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Barons get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.
Colin Axel-Adams made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Rylan Keesling was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Mazon Saxon was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.
Pendleton Heights' record is now 17-9. As for Anderson, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Anderson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pendleton Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Anderson couldn't quite get it done against Pendleton Heights in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 13-9. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
