The Grand Terrace Titans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 48-26 loss at the hands of Eisenhower. While losing is never fun, Grand Terrace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Eisenhower is ranked 158th).
When it comes to explaining why Grand Terrace lost, one person who can't be blamed is Exzavior Oliver. Despite the final result, he rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Oliver really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eisenhower to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacoby Pointer-Caldwell, who picked up 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 23 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Daniel Ruiz, who threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Grand Terrace's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eisenhower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Grand Terrace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eisenhower will head out on the road to face off against Orange Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orange Vista has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 264 points over their last six games.
