Basketball Recap: Chadwick Comes Up Short

Chadwick easily dispatched Lennox Academy last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Chadwick Dolphins fell just short of the Flintridge Prep Wolves by a score of 70-68 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (67), the Dolphins still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Chadwick saw an underclassman step up: freshman Todd Mihm almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mihm has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zeke Robel, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Chadwick was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Chadwick's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Flintridge Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chadwick will head out to challenge Rio Hondo Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chadwick has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 225 points over their last three contests. As for Flintridge Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against La Canada at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
