Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post seven more assists than your opponent, a fact the Arcanum Trojans proved on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 win over Twin Valley South. That's another feather in the cap for Arcanum, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arcanum to victory, but perhaps none more so than Regan Christ, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Landon Flatter was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Twin Valley South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jandon Ankrom, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Ulrich, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Arcanum back to even at 8-8. As for Twin Valley South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arcanum won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Milton-Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
