The Jones Longhorns were the 55-30 winner over the Alva Goldbugs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Jones was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 42-41 to Alva.
Alva got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carly Argo out in front who scored 14 points. Lakin Gaddy was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Alva, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Jones will be playing at home against Washington at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alva, they will take on Seiling at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
