The Traverse City West Titans will be playing at home against the Traverse City Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Traverse City West got themselves on the board against Central, but Central never followed suit. They breezed by the Wolves on the road to the tune of 35-0. The win was just what Traverse City West needed coming off of a 42-22 loss in their prior match.
Adeyo Ilemobade was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Parker Kirschner was another key contributor, picking up 54 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Traverse City Central fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over Bay City Western on Friday. Traverse City Central pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Bay City Western cut but never quite recovered from.
Traverse City West's win on Thursday bumped their record up to 3-5. Traverse City Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
