The Eastern Randolph Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Lee Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Eastern Randolph ended up a good deal behind Williams and lost 55-41. Eastern Randolph has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Eastern Randolph had strong showings from Kenly Whitaker, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Ziera Watson, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals. Whitaker scored a full 36.6% of Eastern Randolph's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Craven, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Southern Lee, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were outmatched by Corinth Holders on the road and fell 62-16.
The losses dropped Eastern Randolph to 0-2 and Williams to 2-1.
