It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wilson Prep had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 64-40 margin over the Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Travon Usher, who rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss). Tyquan Whitaker got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wilson Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 432 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Wilson Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brandon Bruno and Whitaker. Wilson Prep got some further help from Zalik Cannady: he picked up a sack and made five total tackles (2.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy lost, don't look at Star'Saun Taylor. Despite the final result, he threw for 213 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Wilson Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.1 points over those games. As for Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Wilson Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-16 win against KIPP P on the 21st. Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
