Ascension Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Willow Lions on Friday, falling 48-8. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.
Leading Willow to victory were Kaiden Thomas and Darryl Franklin. Thomas threw for 285 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, while Franklin gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns.
