Despite the defeat, South Effingham had strong showings from Will Harlin, who scored 16 points, and Corbin McGuire, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Nelson Rivera, who scored 7 points.
South Effingham still hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Southeast Bulloch, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Effingham will take on Burke County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will head out on the road to face off against Effingham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
