The Marlington Dukes will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Perry Panthers at 6:45 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Marlington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-49 to the Aviators.
Meanwhile, Perry's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 52-43 to Jackson. While losing is never fun, Perry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Polar Bears are ranked 29th).
Marlington's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
