On Friday New Town take on Stanley at 7:00 PM. New Town come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
There's no need to mince words: New Town lost to Velva last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-54. New Town's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Tristan Williams, who accumulated 168 passing yards and picked up 40 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, Stanley were able to grind out a solid victory over Kenmare/Bowbells/Burke Central, winning 26-14.
Stanley's win lifted them to 1-2 while New Town's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll see if Stanley's success rolls on or if New Town are able to steal their positive momentum.
