While fans of Northeast Metro RVT might be used to big wins, the 37-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Alesandre Monge went supernova for Northeast Metro RVT, scoring 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monge has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Cardoso, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Northeast Metro RVT's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Notre Dame Cristo Rey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Metro RVT will take on Stoneham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Northeast Metro RVT's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for Notre Dame Cristo Rey, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pioneer Charter School of Science at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Notre Dame Cristo Rey is ranked 320th, while Pioneer Charter School of Science is ranked 299th).
