Even though the Jumpertown Cardinals scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Falkner Eagles still came out on top. Falkner strolled past Jumpertown with points to spare, taking the game 73-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Falkner also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Falkner was led to victory by Elijah Mauney and Chris Nunley. Mauney scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Nunley scored 25 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nunley has scored at least a third of Falkner's points. Chadarrius Bogan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Falkner's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Jumpertown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
Falkner will face off against Byers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Byers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Falkner surely won't give up without a fight. Jumpertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
