When it comes to explaining why Riverview Sarasota lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cole Coggin. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Coggin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Harris, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Connor Heald was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with two steals for Cardinal Mooney. Heald is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. George Leibold was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Riverview Sarasota's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Cardinal Mooney, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Riverview Sarasota will take on Imagine School at North Port at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Imagine School at North Port is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. Cardinal Mooney on the road again on Saturday and play against North Port at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th.
