They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Archbishop McNicholas came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Carroll is ranked 295th).
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Clark, who scored 18 points. Jack Tucker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Archbishop McNicholas and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Carroll, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7.
