The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for First Baptist Academy in their matchups with Lifegate Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Hailee Lipsey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals for Lifegate Christian. Lipsey set a new season high mark in steals with 11. Another player making a difference was Anelyna Cavazos, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
First Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lifegate Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
First Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Braunfels Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Lifegate Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Bracken Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
