The Arroyo Dons entered their tilt with the Newark Memorial Cougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Arroyo came out on top against Newark Memorial by a score of 14-6 on Saturday. For Arroyo, this counts as revenge for the 55-36 loss Newark Memorial walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Arroyo can attribute much of their success to Gabriel Flores, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Arroyo's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points per game. As for Newark Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Arroyo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Newark Memorial will be playing at home against Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
