Roane County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Webster County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Roane County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sissonville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raiders fell just short of the Indians by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.
Roane County got a good showing from Eric Starcher, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Starcher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Carter Kinder made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Jacob Greathouse was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Gilmer County hit Webster County with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Highlanders took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roane County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Webster County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Roane County's way against Webster County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Roane County made off with a 10-2 win. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Highlanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
