The UIC College Prep Firecats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Intrinsic Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully UIC College Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Sunday.
Last Sunday, UIC College Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to Fasman Yeshiva.
Despite the loss, UIC College Prep saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Coleman scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Andre Boone was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Intrinsic strolled past Disney II with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-36. The win was just what Intrinsic needed coming off of a 72-23 defeat in their prior game.
UIC College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Intrinsic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.
UIC College Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Intrinsic in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, winning 56-48. Will UIC College Prep repeat their success, or does Intrinsic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
