The Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings will challenge the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wisconsin Lutheran has seven straight victories, Kettle Moraine Lutheran has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Wisconsin Lutheran got the win against Beaver Dam by a conclusive 12-3. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Sydney Vitangcol and Sidney Schroeder made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Vitangcol kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Schroeder struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Haag, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Reese Grudzielanek was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Wisconsin Lutheran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaver Dam only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Kettle Moraine Lutheran came up short against Cedarburg on Saturday and fell 11-8.
Makenzie Luehring made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Bartelt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Wisconsin Lutheran pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wisconsin Lutheran hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Kettle Moraine Lutheran struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wisconsin Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 5-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
