If Melrose was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Woburn Memorial on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit.  Despite the loss, Melrose still got an impressive performance from   Sadie Smith, who  had 20  assists and ten  digs. Smith is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 14 or more in each of the last 12 games she's  played.  Elise Marchais also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first assist of the season.
Melrose has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record  this season. As for Duxbury, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the  win, which was their eighth straight  on the road.
 Coming up, Melrose will welcome Burlington  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Duxbury, they will head out to  face off against Quincy  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
