Los Gatos' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gunn, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-12.
Gunn's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Los Gatos has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Gunn, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 strikeouts. Will Los Gatos keep running through batters, or will the Titans buck the trend?
Los Gatos took their win against Gunn in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
