The Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 72-39 loss at the hands of Canton. Detroit Country Day lost against Canton in their previous head to head back in December of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-49 score last time.
Canton can attribute much of their success to Bradley Eziuka, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. Devon Pettus was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Detroit Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Detroit Country Day will take on Brother Rice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will be playing at home against Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
