Landmark Academy has struggled against Parkway Christian recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Landmark Academy saw an underclassman step up: Layla Purdom scored seven points.
Landmark Academy bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Parkway Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Landmark Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Austin Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Southfield Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southfield Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Parkway Christian is ranked 69th).
