Lakeland Regional's David Shellhammer rumbled for the longest rushing play in Big North - National this season in his game against Northern Valley Regional last week. Shellhammer ran for 92 yards on the play and finished with 334 on the day as his team topped the Norsemen.
Lakeland Regional extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Northern Valley Regional, 43-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Danny Thompson put up the best numbers through the air as Indian Hills lost to Bergenfield. He finished with a total of 10 completions for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Thompson's favorite target this week was Ryan Kennelly, who caught two passes for 21 yards.
Kyle Allegrini was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lancers bested Tony Mottola's team. Allegrini tallied three receptions for 70 yards. Joseph Jordan helped Lakeland Regional's passing attack out by catching one ball for 32 yards.
On the ground, Lakeland Regional's Shellhammer has rushed for 705 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is John Trainor. The Northern Valley star has 12 catches for 257 yards.
Next week's game between the Norsemen and Northern Valley will feature a tantalizing aerial matchup as Blake Geller tests his arm against Dylan Fleischer's defensive ability. For the year, Northern Valley Regional's Geller has managed 505 yards and four touchdowns, while Fleischer has one interceptions for the Golden Knights.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Northern Valley takes on the Norsemen. At the moment, Brian Dunn's team is in second, while Northern Valley Regional is in third.
The Lancers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the Norsemen. Shellhammer caught one passes for 15 yards in the win.
