Gordon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Hico on Tuesday. Gordon was the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Hico. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gordon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Hico, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gordon will head out to face off against Stephenville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hico, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Poolville at 7:00 p.m. on April 4.
