After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cardinal Stritch, Bowsher was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Scott Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won seven contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Bryson Allison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bowsher is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise. Allison was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Bowsher got a massive performance out of Donovan McClellan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. McClellan is becoming a predictor of the Rebels' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-2 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Hartford, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
