It was a good run, but the Wyatt Chaparrals unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Arlington Heights 64-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Wyatt has suffered since November 30, 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Wyatt lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cynaa Weathers. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with five rebounds. Weathers has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played.
Wyatt's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Arlington Heights, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Wyatt will face off against South Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Hills comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Arlington Heights, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Polytechnic at 6:00 p.m. Polytechnic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1477th, while Arlington Heights is ranked 475th).
