The Gadsden County Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a  64-26 loss at the hands of Madison County. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gadsden County in their matchups with Madison County: they've now lost nine in a row.
 Despite the  defeat, Gadsden County saw an underclassman step up:  Camyria Clemons  scored nine points along with five  rebounds and four  steals.
 Gadsden County  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only  an  assist. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Madison County  racked up ten  assists.
  Janiyah Mcknight was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 30 points along with seven  steals for Madison County. Mcknight is absolutely dominating the point category: she's  posted at least 15 every time she's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Jaidyn Wesley, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 11  rebounds.
 Gadsden County dropped their record down to 4-9 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Madison County, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gadsden County will take on Wakulla at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Madison County won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Crossroad Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on January 23rd. Crossroad Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
