Pleasanton won the last time they faced Axtell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1.

Pleasanton's offense was headlined by Brittany Riley and Brecken Wendt, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Kaylee Pierce and her 28 assists. Tenley Flood controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pleasanton has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Axtell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.

Pleasanton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on the 20th. As for Axtell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Exeter-Milligan/Friend on the 21st.
