Volleyball Recap: Briggs Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

If West wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Briggs, they should've done a better job of containing Victor Som. The Bruins came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Som, who had 12 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times he's played.

Briggs was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (88-87), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 10-25, 25-15, 26-24.

Briggs has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Briggs will face off against Walnut Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West has already played their next matchup (against Linden-McKinley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
