After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Bishop Watterson, Unioto was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Piketon Redstreaks  a   10-0 shutout. Considering the Shermans have won six contests by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 KB Perkins was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted  over his last nine  matches.
 In other batting news,  Keegan Snyder was  incredible,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaxon Zickafoose, who  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
Unioto has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Piketon,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-8-1.
 Looking ahead, Unioto will square off against Paint Valley at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Piketon, they will take on Southeastern at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.91  runs per game on average), something the Redstreaks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
