Youngker came into Tuesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the North Canyon Rattlers 16-6 on Tuesday. The Roughriders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 20-10).
Ari Arreola made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Arreola was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Samantha Salgado Beltran was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliva Vega, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Youngker hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Youngker's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for North Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Youngker will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rattlers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
