Softball Recap: Tempe Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tempe entered their tilt with Desert Sunrise on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Golden Hawks. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Armanda White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. White was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Maribella Rivera was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Celeste Alvarez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Tempe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 11-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tempe's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Desert Sunrise, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Tempe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
