Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. Starmount

Alleghany is 2-8 against Starmount since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. Alleghany's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Alleghany's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out East Wilkes 1-0. Ana Vargas had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Alleghany.

Meanwhile, Starmount unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Stokes by a score of 2-1.

Alleghany's victory bumped their record up to 4-11-2. As for Starmount, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
