While Eagle Pass's victory against United wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Longhorns on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Eagle Pass' win bumped their record up to 14-9-1. As for United, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eagle Pass will take on rival United South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.3, the Panthers 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, United is set to square off against their familiar foe Laredo LBJ at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
